Virender Sehwag Funny Incident: Shoaib Akhtar was one of the world-class pace bowlers for the Pakistan cricket team. Most batsmen found it literally tough to tackle most of his quick balls as he generated enough pace combined with a swing.
Popularly known as “Rawalpindi Express”, Shoaib Akhtar used pace as his main weapon to pose a serious threat to the best batters in the world.
Notably, he was the first pacer in the history of cricket have clocked 100 miles per hour, a superb feat that he achieved not once but twice in his career.
He played for the Pakistan national cricket team in 46 Tests, 163 ODIs, and 15 T20Is. The former pacer took as many as 178 wickets in Test cricket. Besides that, he took 247 wickets in the 50-over format and 19 wickets in Twenty20 Internationals.
On top of that, he took 12 fifers in Tests while also taking 4 four-wicket hauls in ODIs. Besides his bowling abilities, Shoaib Akhtar was also a pinch-hitter during his playing days where he smashed sixes at will.
Notably, he was a handy tail-ender for the Pakistan cricket team at times because of his big-hitting abilities. He hit 22 sixes and 53 boundaries in Tests and 12 sixes and 27 boundaries in ODIs.

Meanwhile, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag recalled an extremely amusing incident involving Sachin Tendulkar and former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar.
“In a party that was held for Indian and Pakistani cricketers in Lucknow, Akhtar had one too many drinks and he tried to lift Tendulkar,” Sehwag added.
However, Tendulkar was quite heavy for him, and both of them ended up falling to the ground. I could not stop laughing at the incident,” Sehwag said at News 18 Chaupal.

“I used to tease him a lot. You are out, your career is over. You have dropped our top player. And he was scared, he kept following Sachin everywhere saying sorry, and even fell down at his feet. Still, me and Sachin, whenever we sit together, we go back to the incident and laugh about it,” Sehwag said.
Notably, Shoaib Akhtar had great battles against Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar in international cricket. The fans absolutely loved watching them lock horns with each other.
Shoaib Akhtar outsmarted Sachin Tendulkar on 4 occasions in 15 meetings in the 50-over format. On the other hand, he got the better of Sachin twice in Test cricket.
