David warner gully cricket, IND vs AUS: A recent video of Delhi Capitals’ skipper David Warner has gone viral on the internet where the Australian opener was seen playing gully cricket in the streets of Mumbai. The player shared a short clip of him on his official Instagram handle.
Warner, who is set to lead the Delhi Capitals in the 2023 edition of IPL is staying in Mumbai with his Australian Teammates. The left-handed batter will be seen in the 3-match ODI series against India which is scheduled to begin on 17th March.
The 36-year-old missed the 3rd and 4th test matches due to an injury he suffered while batting in the first innings of the second test. Later in the second inning he did not come out to bat and was ruled out for the rest of the series.
The Australian’s love for India is unmatched as he has been seen dancing to multiple Indian songs, and making reels about popular Indian cinema dialogues. On some occasions, his wife and daughters are also seen dancing in the videos he posts on Instagram.

The active presence of the cricketer on Instagram regularly leaves a positive impression on his Indian fans through his social media posts. Demonstrating his love for the country, Mr. Warner’s Instagram account is filled with numerous posts highlighting his admiration for India.
This time, he posted a video of himself playing street cricket with locals and fans in Mumbai, where the first ODI will be played.
In the video, David Warner can be seen wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers as he prepares to bat while the bowler is in the midst of delivering the ball. He proceeds to play a defensive shot in response to the delivery bowled at him.

He shared the video along with the caption: “Found a quiet street to have a hit,”
Comments started pouring in after the Cricketer shared the video with one fan writing, “Did u apply for Indian citizenship? Bcz your love about India is incredible.. love u sir.” Another user wrote, “Such a humble man.” A third added, “David Warner be like – gully cricket is more difficult than international cricket.”
Earlier, the Australian cricketer had shared a selfie of himself seated in a car while waiting in the heavy Mumbai traffic. Along with the image, he captioned it ”Out and about” and the picture also features a kaali-peeli taxi driver giving a thumbs up in the adjacent vehicle.
