KL Rahul bad form: Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly spoke about KL Rahul’s form and position in the team with PTI. The former BCCI president also talked about how difficult it is to play on Indian conditions.

In the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, KL Rahul’s performance has been consistently declining over the past few series, with no indication of improvement. He was only able to score a total of fewer than 50 runs in the three test innings during the first two matches against Australia.

The 30-year-old is under criticism from both cricket fans and former players owing to his ongoing inability to contribute runs to the team. It is surprising for a player of his calibre that he has only managed scores of 20, 17, and 1 in his three innings during the current BGT series.

KL Rahul is now a common name to talk about among former cricketers. Recently Former Indian Head Coach Ravi Shastri also talked about his form, also Venkatesh Prasad took a dig at the player on Twitter a few days back.

“There is a lot of pressure on the players and a lot of focus and attention. He is viewed as a key member of the team by the management of the organisation. In the end, what the captain and coach think is crucial.” what team management thinks, explained Sourav Ganguly on KL Rahul’s situation.

“He has performed but obviously you expect a lot more from a top-order batter playing for India because the standards set by others are so high. When you fail for a while, obviously there will be criticism. I am sure Rahul has the ability and I am sure as and when he gets more opportunities, he will have to find ways to score,” he further explained.
