Will Jadeja Play for Csk in IPL 2023? Jadeja or Ben Stokes Who Will Lead CSK Next?

Before the start of this IPL season there were plenty of questions in the mind of fans whether, will Jadeja play for CSK or not because of the earlier issues that came in the previous season about his captaincy skills.

So all the fans are happy to see Jadeja come back to the team, and also, he is back in form after the knee injury. IPL 2023 will kick off on March 31 with Chennai Super Kings taking on defending champions Gujarat Titans in their opening game.

Former Indian Super Kings Chennai cricketer Harbhajan Singh believes all-round star Ravindra Jadeja will be the X-factor for India’s next four-time Premier League champions. Jadeja, who managed to return to top-flight cricket after missing months with knee surgery, was instrumental in India’s 2-1 four-game win over Australia at the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2022-23.

In the Border Gavaskar Trophy, Jadeja made a phenomenal comeback after 5 long months. He was a star player in the 4 test match series against Australia which clearly justified why cricket lovers call him Sir Jadeja. In this season every CSK fan waiting for his comeback and hopes for him are high as always. He is always a crucial part of the CSK and his coming back to form is giving every fan hope that once again CSK will able to lift the title.

Jadeja or Ben Stokes who will lead CSK next?

Ravindra Jadeja was abruptly made captain of Chennai Super Kings ahead of the start of IPL 2022. He eventually succumbed to pressure from the captaincy, and his form faltered as a result. Finally, MS Dhoni was reappointed captain of CSK in IPL 2022, and Jadeja even missed a few games as he was clearly unhappy with CSK’s management.

There are reports that Ravindra Jadeja asked for his release before the IPL 2023 auction, but MS Dhoni convinced him to stay with the team in IPL 2023. It is now assumed that MS Dhoni still believes in Ravindra Jadeja’s leadership and wants him to be his descendant. Jadeja is expected to be the captain of CSK later in the IPL 2023 tournament. The management will gradually transfer from MS Dhoni to Jadeja. CSK could turn to Ben Stokes as their next captain if Jadeja refuses to coach at the last minute.

CSK team management & MS Dhoni still believe and want that Jadeja will able to lead the team for the next coming matches. He is a player who is with CSK since their initial days, which gives him a big advantage he knows the team from IN & OUT, and his performance this year is tremendous.

He is the first choice of CSK team management & MSD himself. If he would not like to take over the captaincy then CSK will look forward to Ben Stokes as he is an experienced player and also top-class all-rounder and he has the captaincy skills that we have all witnessed in the past. It would be interesting to see who will be the next captain of CSK Jadeja or Benstokes.
