WPL 2023: The nationwide T20 cricket competition known as the Women’s Premier League 2023 seeks young, bright female cricket players. The Gujarat Gaints and Mumbai Indians will play each other in the WPL 2023’s first game on March 4 at the DY Patil Complex.
The BCCI’s organization of the TATA WPL is a significant step in promoting women’s cricket in the country and offers young players the chance to showcase their abilities.
Five women’s cricket sides will be allowed to compete in the TATA WPL’s first season. Each squad will compete in a round-robin format before moving on to a playoff round.
In its first season, the Women’s Premier League will consist of 20 matches, including two playoff matches, all of which will take 23 days. While the participants compete for the coveted crown, the contest appears to be a fun experience.
On February 13, Mumbai hosted the bidding for the forthcoming WPL 2023, in which 1,525 female cricket players registered to bid. The 246 Indian and 163 international players were up for selection by the Distributors.
Five price schemes have been established for the participants at the auction: Rs 50 lakh, Rs 40 lakh, Rs 30 lakh, Rs 20 lakh, and Rs 10 lakh. Smriti Mandhana was acquired by the RCB for 3.4 crores, making her the most valued player.

The first edition of the WPL 2023 will include a total of 5 squads. The Women’s Premier League will hold its season opener from March 4 to March 26, 2023. Both Brabourne Grounds and DY Patil Complex in Mumbai will host all of the WPL 2023 games.
There are a total of 11 celebrations scheduled at each of Mumbai’s stadiums, DY Patil and Brabourne. DY Patil Complex can accommodate 45,000 people, whilst Brabourne Stadium can hold 20,000.
Sports18 has acquired the television rights to broadcast the Women’s Premier League 2023 and will show every game live. The WPL matches will also be available for internet viewing through the JIOCINEMA application.
Through the BCCI partner’s website BookMyShow, tickets for the WPL’s debut season in 2023 may be purchased online. In India, tickets for cricket games are frequently made available online.
However, certain reservations are retained for offline sales. Individuals who want to see the WPL live at the location must only buy tickets from accredited sellers. Fans may get tickets to see a WPL 2023 game online by going to the competition’s online webpage. This is the preferable and most convenient option.
