Matt Dunn daughter’s demise: Matt Dunn, an English cricketer from Surrey county, has recently experienced a heartbreaking loss. His two-year-old daughter, Florence, who was still a toddler, passed away due to the rare and tragic condition of Dravet Syndrome, which caused her epilepsy.

According to the NHS, Florence Dunn suffered from Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological genetic condition that is often accompanied by autism and other related challenges.

Dravet Syndrome is a genetic neurological disorder that is uncommon, with an incidence rate of 1 in every 15,000 live births in the UK. The condition results in disability and can lead to various associated conditions, such as autism, ADHD, challenging behavior, speech difficulties, feeding problems, sleep disturbances, and other related issues.

Off the field, Matt Dunn is known for his down-to-earth nature and his work ethic. He is a role model for young cricketers and has been actively involved in coaching young players. He has also been involved in charity work and has raised funds for various causes.

Matt Dunn shared a heartfelt note on his daughter’s demise

In an emotional Instagram post, Dunn shared the heartbreaking news of his daughter Florence’s passing. Alongside a photo of her, he wrote, “You will always hold a special place in my heart. Our beautiful girl has earned her angel wings and was taken by SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).”

“To find the words at this time is almost impossible.” He went on to express how much his daughter was loved and the positive impact she had on the lives of those around her.

“You were so incredibly loved and the imprint you have left on so many lives is something to behold,” he wrote. “You lit up any room you entered. We will be forever so proud of you and your fight, baby girl.”

Surrey’s Director of Cricket, Alec Stewart, also expressed his condolences to the Dunn family. “We are all absolutely devastated to hear of Florence’s passing and our very best wishes are with the whole Dunn family,” he stated. “We will provide Matt and Jessica Hawkins with all the support that we can.”

The Surrey County Cricket Club also issued a statement expressing their condolences to the Dunn family. “Everyone at Surrey is greatly saddened by the news of the passing of Matt Dunn’s daughter Florence. Our thoughts are with Matt and his wife Jessica, who bravely managed Florence’s Dravet Syndrome – a severe form of epilepsy,” the statement read.
