PSL 2023: On December 15 in Karachi, the players’ draught for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will take place. All franchises, with the exception of Peshawar Zalmi, have kept eight players, while the Babar Azam-led team has kept seven cricketers. Peshawar Zalmi retained seven players while all the other teams retained eight each.

PSL 2023 Retention Latest Update:

There will be a total of 517 international players and 491 domestic players available for selection in the tournament’s eighth season. Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, will get to choose the first player, with Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans getting to choose second and third, respectively. They will be followed by the Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, and Peshawar Zalmi.

For the eighth edition of the competition, clubs may sign up to five international players in a squad of 16 players and six foreign players in a squad of 18 players, with a maximum of three foreign players per team from the platinum, diamond, and gold categories. Additionally, the administration has made it clear that every team will sign an international player in the platinum and diamond category.
