The Mail Online revealed the full story as given in Football Leaks. Cristiano Ronaldo was working for a Saudi telecom firm in 2013. The astronomical sum was charged by his image rights company Multisports and Image Management. The Portuguese superstar accepted the fee for minimal promotional work. His half a day’s work included a photo shoot, five signed shirts and a couple of mentions on social media. The Saudi based firm were not allowed to use the images worldwide despite the amount of money involved. They were only able to publish the images in Saudi Arabia and North Africa
