New Chelsea summer signing, David Luiz was not forgotten by one of the Chelsea faithful after he left for £50 million to Paris Saint-Germain, the highest paid fee for a defender.

After Chelsea’s late win over Leicester City in the EFL Cup this past Tuesday, the central defender saw an accustomed face amongst the crowd.

The Brazilian didn’t see a family member, nor a friend, but a fan who has been behind him and supporting him since the last five years.

The 29-year-old made the world know how much he cares for his fans when he gave his shirt to the Stamford Bridge faithful. Along with that, the former PSG player gave homage to the fan on social media, by posting a picture on Instagram on Wednesday, after Chelsea came back from two goals down to win it 4-2.

“Great comeback lads! But I really want to say thank you for this little boy in the pic!” the Brazilian posted.

“First time I saw him, he was running from the stadium until my hotel to say hello to me five years ago, and many others times until my home.

“He always was so respectful with me and many times he just want to say, ‘Congrats for the game and good night.'”

“So last week after the game against Liverpool I was totally in shock, when I arrived at the hotel, I saw one guy running screaming my name and telling me to wait, and when I saw the ex little boy – now so big – making the same action just to say to me, “We support you and the team, good night David.”

“I just said thanks God to give me this job and opportunities to meet people like this little boy, now a big guy.

“So in Leicester the beautiful action was not my action to give him the shirt, the beautiful action was from him to be there supporting us like always. True Blue! Thanks bro! God bless you and your family.”
