USUAL SCENARIO, ONLY GETTING BETTER
Twice every year, by the end of January and August respectively, we witness some of the most dramatic and nail biting transfer deals as the transfer window draws curtain. From panic buys to over priced signings, from players being pushed away from their parent club to players trying to move away against the wishes of their parent club, you name it.
DEADLINE DAY SUMMER 2016 SO FAR
On a deadline day filled with some of the crazy and shocking moves of players across Europe (Wilshere moving to Bournemouth, Cuadrado back to Juventus, Marcos Alonso’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, Eliaquim Mangala joining Valencia), the biggest surprise transfer of the day involves PSG, Chelsea and the former Stamford Bridge star, David Luiz.
RETURN OF THE GEEZER
In an exciting turn of events on the deadline day of the summer transfer window of 2016, Chelsea FC have reportedly agreed terms with French giants Paris Saint Germain for the return of star defender David Luiz in a fee believed to be in the region of £34 million.
According to an official Chelsea FC statement, the 29 year old Brazilian International is now subject to agreeing personal terms and completing a medical for the London based club. Apparently, the player is currently in London undergoing his medical as the clock ticks away.

Luiz joined the French Champions on a 5-year long deal after the FIFA World Cup 2014 for what still remains the world record transfer fee of GBP 50 Million for a defender.
He was initially bought by Abramovic in 2011 for a fee of £21 million from Portugues club Benfica. During his three year stay at Stamford Bridge, Luiz made 143 appearances scoring 12 goals for the Blues.
Antonio Conte had already prioritized signing a centre-back and the arrival of David Luiz alongside Left-Back Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina and the Chelsea fans must be ecstatic with the way this deadline day has turned out for them, especially for their brittle defense.
Meanwhile, a reportedly fake David Luiz twitter account gave an interview on his behalf saying, ” I was getting rather bored playing in the French Ligue for two years, it was like playing FIFA in the amateur mode”.
Welcome back to the best football league on this planet, Mr. Luiz. The Premier League dearly missed you while you were away.
A personal favorite, both on and off the pitch. Here is what David Luiz brings with him on the pitch besides his classy ball playing defending and thunderous long range screamers.
