Delhi Dynamos To Face Off Against Premier League Outfit West Brom At The Hawthorns

A report by the official website of the Indian Super League has now stated that one of it’s sides, the Delhi Dynamos, in association with Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion have confirmed that the latter will play host in a friendly to the Delhi based club at The Hawthorns on Saturday, 3rd September 2016 (Kick Off- 7:30 pm IST). The game will obviously not have any prizes up for grabs, but it will be the first ever friendly between a club in the top flight of English football and one from the ISL.

Surely, it will be a highly awaited match for the fans of the “beautiful game”, especially those residing in the Indian sub-continent and will be played during the first international break of the upcoming league campaign that starts on the 13th of August.

The Baggies are all set to take on the Lions, who are currently being managed by Italy’s World Cup winning defender Gianluca Zambrotta, who has impressed with his recent negotiation skills, after the recent loan deal for Adil Nabi, who had a successful 2015 season.

The President of the Delhi Dynamos, Mr. Prashant Agarwal, in a recent interview talked about this huge upcoming match and stated, “It is a proud moment for the Delhi Dynamos F.C. to be the first ever Indian Club to play a match against a Premier League side and also the first Indian Super League side to play in the birthplace of Football, England. Indian Football is an expanding and a progressive industry, the world is watching us and we at Delhi Dynamos F.C. believe in rising to the occasion and establishing our presence.”

The Indian club is linked with a total of 7 social causes, as part of their CSR initiative and the proceeds of the match will go towards multiple charities.
