DER VS IND: On July 1, Friday, India defeated Derbyshire by seven wickets in the inaugural T20 exhibition match. After their outstanding performance against Ireland last month, Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson led the Indian batting once more.

At number four, Suryakumar Yadav added 78 more runs to the third-wicket partnership. Hooda finished with a well-made 59 off 37 balls, while Yadav, working with captain Dinesh Karthik, who was undefeated on seven runs, finished off the chase with an unbeaten 36 off 22 balls.
The best bowler for Derbyshire was the fast bowler Ben Aitchison, who took the wickets of Gaikwad and Hooda while giving up 30 runs in three overs. Before the three-game T20I series against England, which begins on July 7. Karthik’s team will play its second T20 warm-up game against Northamptonshire on Sunday.
Rohit Sharma, the team’s captain, will rejoin the Indian squad following his recovery from COVID-19. Beginning with the second T20I, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will rejoin the limited-overs squad.
