Diego Simeone, one of the most renowned coaches in the world today has taken quite a professional stand on the Griezmann situation. The second runners up in the World Player of the Year race, Griezmann is the hottest property on the transfer market anymore.

The coach recently said that he would not tie down Griezmann to the club if he wants to leave for other clubs interested in his signing. Though, he did maintain that only clubs who can afford him will want to get him.

Slowly but gradually, the world of football is looking to a future of the game beyond the Messis and the Ronaldos. In that future, the first name that turns up is that of Antoine Griezmann, who has had a phenomenal couple of years is definitely slated to be the greatest of his generation. Amid all the awe of his brilliant displays, it is natural for big clubs of Europe to want a player of such stature to play for them. One such European giant interested in the forward is Manchester United. The player has been linked to the Red Devils for quite some time, especially post the transfer ban imposed on Atletico Madrid. Atletico haven’t been in the best of their forms recently, barely staying in the top 3 of the La Liga. The Spanish giants have always had this trait of losing their powerful forwards to big clubs of Europe, and also replacing them with ease. With the likes of Angel Correa ready to take up the mantle, Griezmann’s move to Manchester United is not unlikely.
