Dinesh Karthik: Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, the Rohit Sharma-led Team India left Mumbai early on Thursday, October 6 for Australia. The qualifying on October 16 will lead into the main event.
India will be eager to turn things around this time after a poor T20 World Cup performance last year. On Friday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India posted a video of the team’s departure for Australia on their social media channels.
While travelling to the competition, the athletes donned the authorised Team India blazer. Additionally, they took images and posted them on social media for their followers.
Rahul Dravid, the head coach of Team India, and several other players sidestepped demands for photos and autographs from the crowd. In order to celebrate the beginning of India’s T20 World Cup campaign, wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik also cut a cake.
Dinesh Karthik: Team India’s schedule in Australia

On October 17 in Brisbane, Team India will take part in an official T20 World Cup warm-up match against Australia. The second exhibition game versus New Zealand will take place the following day, October 19, at the same location.
The squad captained by Rohit Sharma is in Group 2 during the Super 12 phases of the competition. On October 23, they will face their bitter rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium to begin their campaign.
India’s second game will take place in Sydney on October 27 against a team from the qualifier, and then they will face South Africa and Bangladesh. On November 6, they will play a side from the qualifiers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to conclude the Super 12 phases.

On October 16, 2022, the opening round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is scheduled to begin. The Super 12 stage of the prestigious T20 competition will have eight teams competing for two sports, making it a tremendous matchup.
Namibia, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates make up Group A of the qualifier. Global Qualifier A, which took held in Oman from February 18–24, 2022, allowed United Arab Emirates to advance. Sri Lanka and Namibia both advanced to the qualifying stages.
