Dublin believes Manchester United will finish in top 4.
The race to top 4 has become more competitive after the resurgence of Manchester United. With Chelsea struggling for goals and Arsenal struggling defensively, it seems Manchester United may grab the fourth spot. However, Chelsea’s recent defeat to Bournemouth and United’s draw to Bournemouth displayed the race to top 4 is unpredictable. Dion Dublin believes these two clubs will finish outside top 4.

Dion Dublin reveals Arsenal and Chelsea are likely to miss out on a top-four finish this season. The Red Devils are in scintillating form and came back from 2-0 down late on against Burnley during the weak to snatch a 2-2 draw and keep their momentum rolling on. They look rejuvenated under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is still unbeaten from his nine games in charge. Host Mark Pougatch said on 5Live, “If I were a Chelsea fan, Dion, I’d be seriously worried about the Champions League next season. Wouldn’t you?
“I know Manchester United dropped points and Arsenal scraped past Cardiff. But Chelsea carrying on with this sort of form, particularly away from home, top four looks tough for Chelsea.” Dion replied, “It does, it really does and Arsenal as well to be honest with you. I think both are looking over their shoulder at Man United. Man United’s squad is looking incredibly strong. I think with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer there they won’t give away too many points so Chelsea. I don’t think Chelsea can continue performing like they did tonight and conceding four goals, which is very unheard of for Chelsea’s back four.”
He further said, “They can’t be as weak as this anymor. They can’t be, otherwise they won’t make top four.” Arsenal leapfrogged Chelsea into fourth space earlier this week on goals scored as the Blues slumped to fifth.
United remain in sixth position but hold a gap of just two points between themselves and the Gunners in fourth.
Author’s Take:
The race to top 4 will keep get interesting. Chelsea and Manchester United are yet to face the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City. Arsenal on the other hand are struggling defensively and have key players on injury list.
