Former La Blaugrana star Patrick Kluivert has advised his son Justin not to join Barcelona at such a tender age.

Justin Kluivert has been one of the hottest properties in European football since a few months and the top clubs are monitoring the Ajax winger’s growth. The Dutch star had his breakthrough season in the Eredivisie with Ajax this term scoring 10 goals and laying off five more assists drawing attention from the biggest clubs in the continent.

There have been suggestions that Justin will follow in the footsteps of his father, who is deemed a legend of football in the Netherlands. English giants Manchester United have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old but La Liga champions Barcelona have also been linked to making a move for the teenage sensation.
However, Justin has been given some family advice from his father stating that move for his son to Barcelona may be too early in his career.

Kluivert Senior’s Family Advice-

While speaking to Ole, the 41-year-old former Barcelona forward said that this is not the right time for Kluivert to move to the Catalonian side just yet but as a father will support his move no matter what he chooses, “The truth is that now is not the time.  He is just in his second year in the Netherlands and moving to a club of the magnitude of Barca should not be the first choice.  For now, go step by step, calmly and calmly, but as a father, I will support him in anything he decides.”
He also added that he can play alongside the best players in the world but needs a few more yards of experience and not skip stones, “I try, I tell him, he is 19 years old and thinks he can play with [Lionel] Messi, Luis Suarez, [Sergio] Busquets, [Philippe] Coutinho … But he has to do more yards.”

Author’s Take-

Patrick Kluivert is worried that his son may not do well in Barcelona at the moment because the Spanish side has too many star players and he may not get too many opportunities to perform. I think he is right in caring from a father’s point of view but if Justin wants a move to Barcelona he should look forward to it.
