In what is the most shocking move of the century, Neymar has finally made his way out of the Camp Nou. The star Brazilian has moved to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain, and has left some serious effect at Barcelona. The Catalan giants have their trio broke down, and are desperate to find some heir to the throne vacated by Neymar. Barcelona are rumored to be running around a number of players, and the one who tops the list is Dortmund’s youngster Ousmane Dembele. Dortmund too have smelled the rousing interest from Barcelona and reportedly have put a price tag on the player.

Barcelona deeply hurt but become financially sound
Even though Neymar has left a deep scare on Barcelona, they have got some money to make out from that world record transfer. The Catalans are believed to be running out on numerous players who could fit into the £197 million earned out on the Neymar sale. Valverde well knows that the players in his ranks, like Denis Suarez, Arda Turan and Gerard Deulofeu can’t match the class of the Brazilian, and they need someone of his level. Dembele is the player who fits into the bill, and Dortmund want €100 million from Barcelona to prize the player away from Iduna Park, as per the reports in BILD. It is interesting that Barcelona are willing to shell out almost half of the Neymar money on the Frenchman.

Dembele was the long term interest for Barcelona

The 20-year old Frenchman has been heavily admired by Leo Messi, who reportedly wanted him at Camp Nou last season. Though the Frenchman moved to Dortmund from Rennes for £12 million, Messi still wanted Barcelona to go after the player even before the Neymar rumors started. The player has developed a lot in a year, and managed to break into the national side as well. The youngster is blessed with superb dribbling skills and has a good vision to match with. He was second only to Emil Forsberg in the number of assist in the Bundesliga. Barcelona believe that the player has the potential to match up the best in the world, and are keen to replace the N with D in the famed MSN trio.

What lies next in the Dembele saga
Barcelona want someone who can pick up the role Neymar performed, and Dembele fits in the bill. Though the Frenchman played on the Right more often in Germany, he would have to pick up the left at Barcelona. That doesn’t look like much of a problem as he equally matched with both his foot. Last year Dembele skipped because he knew that it would have been virtually impossible to break into a side with Messi, Suarez and Neymar. Now with Neymar gone, Dembele is assured of his place in the eleven and would want to make a dream move to Barcelona. Still, only 20, Dembele has lot to prove and €100 million might have just been a good bargain for the player. It looks like Barcelona want to waste no time as it has sent some representatives to Germany to finalize the deal. It finally looks like Barcelona have got their man this time.
