Managing rotations is very crucial for every manager at the football clubs. This will be a very important season for Chelsea and their manager Frank Lampard. The Blues have made a huge investment in strengthening the squad in the summer transfer window. Frank Lampard has received the full support of the club’s management which is why the pressure is that much more on Chelsea.
Recently the Blues are under a lot of criticism. Chelsea were struggling despite spending more than $250 million and now are behind rivals in the Premier League table, in comparison to the previous season. Even now they sit at the 7th spot in the league.
The likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, and Hakim Ziyech arriving at Stamford Bridge made fans very excited about their team. However, the performances have been below par. Werner and Havertz particularly haven’t been themselves this season.
To be fair to the Blues there were a lot of injuries and key players were coming in and out of the squad. However now the squad’s healthy and a lot of players are competing for the same spots.

Sooner or later Frank Lampard will have to find minutes for the developing players in the squad. Billy Gilmour and Hudson-Odoi are knocking on the first team doors. If the stars continue to falter the manager can turn to their youngsters for some innovation.
Billy Gilmour was out due to injury but Hudson-Odoi for one is playing particularly well this season. He had some concerns about his role at the club but Frank Lampard has assured him that he is a part of the club’s future.
Lampard promises more game time to Hudson Odoi

Hudson Odoi has really stepped up his game for Chelsea. The player hasn’t got many starts but he’s been good coming off the bench and is pushing for that first-team spot. He has made 17 appearances for Chelsea with 5 goals and 2 assists.
The 20-year-old is making life difficult for Frank Lampard but it’s the kind of problem every manager would love to have. Lampard has spoken positively about Callum Hudson-Odoi and his role for Chelsea.
This was Frank Lampard’s statement as per the Sport Review, “There has been a real uplift in Callum’s form recently and that is part of his development”.
“There has been a real uplift in Callum’s form recently and that is part of his development. Callum is very exciting at the minute, he’s approaching it all the right way and he’ll get many, many minutes.”
The upcoming few weeks will be very crucial for Chelsea. They scrapped away a crucial 1-0 victory at Fulham last time out. But it is pivotal for the club to build on this momentum or else the summit to the top will be even harder.
It will interesting to see the playing eleven which Lampard will choose. With the availability of Ziyech and Pulisic, Hudson-Odoi’s got a slim chance of starting but who knows maybe Frank Lampard will surprise us all.
