ENG vs IND: Ben Stokes issues warning to India, expresses confidence in the new approach

ENG vs IND: England and India will face each other in a one-off test match on July 1, Friday. The test match will be played at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, England.

The men in blue were busy facing Ireland in the two match T20 series. India managed to win both the matches against Ireland to clinch the series by 2-0.

India were coming into this fixture after winning against Ireland in the first T20 match on Sunday. Indian captain Hardik Pandya went on to win the toss and he decided to have a bowl first.

Rain lashed the city for quite some time in the day. The match was delayed and eventually umpires decided to go with 12 overs per side. Ireland went on to score 108 runs with a loss of four wickets in 12 overs.

The men in blue managed to chase down the score with ease in the 10th over. India went on to win the first T20 against Ireland by seven wickets.

Harry Tector went on to play a fantastic inning for Ireland in the T20 match. Moreover, he went on to score 64 runs from 33 balls with a strike rate of 193.94.

He said, “Regardless of the opposition, we’re still going to have the same mindset. We’ll be concentrating on what we’ve done well over these last three games and look to continue that against India on Friday.

I knew that everyone would buy into the new mentality I and Brendon set out, but I didn’t think it would go this well, to be honest.”

The new approach from the England team has gone on to immensely help them. England put up a dominant display against New Zealand. But the men in blue will look to stop that in the fifth test.
