ENG VS IND: Aakash Chopra, a former Indian opener, has offered his prediction for the first Twenty20 International between England and India, which will be contested at Southampton’s Rose Bowl on Thursday, July 7. Jos Buttler, who took over for Eoin Morgan as the hosts’ limited-overs captain after the latter recently announced his retirement from international cricket, will be the team’s captain.
Aakash Chopra made his forecast while also predicting that 15 sixes would be struck in this match because both teams are known for their massive sixes. Chopra backed England to win the first game of the series. The Indian side will be captained by a healthy Rohit Sharma, and the starting XI will include the same players who participated in the Ireland series.
“My very first prediction is I feel that Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan will together score more than 75 runs. I mean Buttler is unstoppable even though the team’s fortunes are 50-50 at the moment and if you look at the last five matches.” Aakash Chopra.

He further added, “They have lost two and won only two, but Buttler single-handedly gets the job done single-handedly and Dawid Malan. I rate him very high and I reckon even he will score runs.”
As well as Suryakumar Yadav, and Ishan Kishan Despite Rohit’s availability for the opening position. I predict that we will score more than 70 runs. Do you think Sanju will participate?
Or, will Sanju Samson play and Deepak Hooda takes Sanju’s place at number three? The former cricketer-turned-pundit also explained why he chose England to open the three-match T20I series with a victory.
Even though India’s bowling appears to be slightly better when it comes to man-to-man marking. But the opponent team is slightly stronger in terms of their batting, I believe that England will win this game.
