Clubs who finished second in their respective Europa League 22/23 groups and those who completed their Champions League 22/23 campaign with a third place in their respective groups featured in the Europa League 22/23 round-of-16 play-off draw.
Manchester United and FC Barcelona headline the Europa League round-of-16 play-off draw, with the European biggies set to square off for a place in the next stage of the competition.
Manchester United feature in the round-of-16 play-off draw after finishing second behind Real Sociedad in Group E. Meanwhile, Barcelona are Champions League drop-outs after their third-place finish in Group C.
Europa League Round-of-16 Play-Off Draw: Juventus face Nantes, Ajax takes on Union Berlin
Juventus, who were also eliminated from the Champions League at the group stage, will face Ligue 1 side Nantes in the play-off for a place in the round of 16.
Sporting CP, who were knocked out of the Champions League on matchday 6 of the group stage, will take on Midtjylland in the two-legged play-off.
Dutch side Ajax, who finished third in Champions League Group A, will battle German outfit Union Berlin.
Bayer Leverkusen, another Champions League drop-pit, have been drawn against AS Monaco, while RB Salzburg will face AS Roma.
Shakhtar Donetsk, who were also eliminated from the Champions League at the group stage, are up against Rennes.
La Liga side Sevilla have, meanwhile, drawn PSV Eindhoven in the round-of-16 play-off draw.

Eight teams – winners of each Europa League 22/23 group – have already qualified for the round of 16. Winners of these eight ties will join the already qualified sides in the round-of-16 draw.
The clubs who have already sealed their place in the Europa League round-of-16 are Arsenal, Fenerbahce, Real Betis, Union Saint-Gilloise, Real Sociedad, Feyenoord, Freiburg, Ferencvaros.
Meanwhile, the Europa League round-of-16 draw will take place on February 24, 2023, after the play-off ties are completed. The play-off ties, meanwhile, will take place on February 16th and February 23rd next year.
