F1 News: Carlos Sainz on the ‘Disproportionate Criticism’ Leveled Against Ferrari Media in Italy

According to Carlos Sainz, the Italian media occasionally targets Ferrari with exaggerated criticism. The Spaniard has witnessed Ferrari endure harsh criticism for their on-track mistakes this season. Throughout the season, there have been quite a few strategic blunders, and the team’s drivers have suffered as a result.

Sainz said that he was ready for it when he joined the squad when he was questioned if the Italian media might sometimes be a bit much to bear.

He remarked: “I’ve already received a warning about this. Because of how well-known Ferrari is worldwide and how much exposure Italy would receive, they warned me to get ready. However, until you’re inside, you don’t realize how much attention Ferrari receives.”

He went on: “The level of criticism, particularly this year. I’ve read that the squad has received unfair criticism. However, it adds to the beauty. I am honored to be a part of such a huge organization and a symbol of the automotive industry. It doesn’t bother me in any way.”

Sainz emphasized that Red Bull’s ability to be flawless everywhere is what has contributed to their success this season. They have not just the most powerful automobile, but also the best plan.

When asked if Max Verstappen of Red Bull was enjoying the ideal season. Sainz responded: “Red Bull is included, not just Verstappen. Verstappen is experiencing his tenth year, but Red Bull is succeeding in everything. neither when deciding on a plan nor when making crucial choices.”

The Spanish driver achieved his first career victory this year, but he has had trouble keeping up with the speed of Charles Leclerc, his teammate. Sainz remarked similarly: “Not entirely, to be honest (satisfied). It has been somewhat of a roller coaster since there have been challenging times as well as many beautiful ones that I will never forget, like that first triumph.”

With only six races remaining in the current season, Sainz will want to add another triumph and have a great finish. Leclerc (219), who is behind leader Max Verstappen, is in front of the Spaniard (187).
