Mick Schumacher recently participated in the Sweden-based 2023 Race of Champions. Some of the top race car drivers compete against one another in the snow.
Although Mick Schumacher isn’t the finest driver around compared to Sebastian Vettel, Mika Hakkinen, Jamie Chadwick, etc., he participated in the race and managed to take second. The official Twitter account of the Mercedes F1 team praised the German for his accomplishment because he is now the team’s third driver.
After a challenging two years with Haas, Mick Schumacher‘s F1 career appeared doomed. To increase his chances of securing a seat in the future, several experts and close friends even recommended he keep in touch with successful teams.
Even if Mick Schumacher is a Mercedes employee, his F1 career is still in doubt. Many F1 fans were devastated by this, as they had hoped to see another Schumacher dominate the field.
People were therefore overjoyed to see Mick Schumacher competing in the Race of Champions. He even placed second in the race, beating many other seasoned drivers. F1 fans flooded social media channels with supportive remarks as a result, causing a huge commotion.

Mick Schumacher’s appearance on the podium in the Race of Champions thrilled the crowd. Positive remarks about the German and how happy his supporters were to see him come second flooded Twitter. They spoke about how Mick Schumacher might defeat more seasoned drivers and how he would advance quickly at Mercedes.

When there are other rally racers on the starting line, several of them talked about how challenging it may be to drive in the snow and place second.
Mick Schumacher does not currently have a seat in Formula 1, but if he continues to compete successfully in other racing series, he may soon receive an offer.
Felix Rosenqvist, an Arrow McLaren IndyCar driver and local favourite, was defeated by Schumacher in the first preliminary round. But David Coulthard, a two-time Champion of Champions, lost after winning his first heat against Adrien Tambay after spinning out in his second heat.
During this weekend’s Race of Champions, Felipe Drugovich, the 2022 Formula 2 champion, defeated Coulthard’s old McLaren teammate and two-time World Champion Mika Hakkinen in both of his preliminaries.
