Fans react on the performance of former Chelsea man against Southampton.

“Bring him back”, Chelsea Fans interesting Twitter reactions after Nathan Ake display for Bournemouth.

Opportunities and a platform are crucial for anyone who struggles on showcasing talent. From being a defender at The Blues to being a first-class Header. Nathan Ake is giving some major headaches to Chelsea fans after his class performance for Bournemouth against Southampton.

Bournemouth has marked its first-ever victory over Southampton with a 3-1 goal score in south coast derby away from home on Friday. Thus climbing to the third place in the Premier League table.

The 24-year-old Dutch international was in his best form at the St. Mary’s stadium. The 10th-minute header from the game by Ake gives Cherries the supremacy over Southampton.

He was strong at the back and played for the entire 90 minutes. According to the reports, he had a pass accuracy of about 74.2 %, won two headers and have made one tackle and two clearances.

He is considered as a top graduate who came through the Chelsea academy but couldn’t survive for long at the Stamford bridge due to lack of first-team opportunities. Eventually making a loan move to Bournemouth.

In 2017, he joined the Cherries on a permanent contract from Chelsea for a transfer fee to be worth £20 million.

Chelsea fans were highly impressed with Ake performance for Cherries and praised him on Twitter.

Here are some of the best comments from Chelsea fans.

After the triumph Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said:

In the first half, we were okay but I don’t think we hit the heights we know we are capable of, but we had the spirit, drive, and determination to win and sometimes that is the most important ingredient.”

Author’s take:

Nathan Ake gas developed himself so well since making a move to South coast. He has managed to establish himself as one of the first names on Edie Howe’s teamsheet. Regarded as one of the hottest prospects to come up, is making his name through potential team appearances. Letting the defender go is something Chelsea will always regret.
