European giants Belgium have announced their 26-man squad for the upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022.

Belgium qualified for the Qatar World Cup 2022 after finishing at the top position in Group E. The Red Devils won six out of their eight matches and finished with twenty points.

Belgium have been drawn into Group E along with Canada, Morocco and Croatia.

They will start their tournament against Canada on 24th November. Then the Red Devils will face Morocco in their second match in the group. Finally, Belgium will finish their group league campaign against Croatia.

Chelsea loanee and Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku has been included in the 26-man squad for Belgium. The forward is currently sidelined with a thigh injury. Lukaku has appeared in only five matches for Inter Milan this season.

It is still unknown when he will be able to return to his full fitness. However, Belgium coach Roberto Martinez is expecting him to feature in at least one match at the group stage. Lukaku is the all-time goalscorer for Belgium. His presence will surely boost the Red Devils.

AC Milan forward Divock Origi is one of the notable names who has failed to make the cut for the Belgian squad. Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is another name in that list.

Throughout the last decade, Belgium dominated the FIFA Rankings and spent most part of it at the pole position. However, they failed to win a single tournament. The so-called golden generation of Belgium will now have one final chance to get a piece of the glory.
