FIFA World Cup 2022 had to come to an end. Argentina lifted the World Cup for the third time. Argentines are on cloud nine. They have left the host country Qatar and are back in their homeplace.
Many have crowded into the Ezeiza airport on Tuesday to welcome the champions. Even though the landing time was 3 am, they all gathered and waited with banners of players. They opted for all the ways that they could express their happiness.
“They won’t let us get to greet all the people who were at the Obelisco. The security agents that escorted us won’t allow us to move forward”, tweeted the president of the Argentine Football Association(AFA), Chiqui Tapia. He also added his and his team’s apologies and thanked them for the love.
The whole land was erupting with joy. The country declared a national holiday on the day for celebrating their 36-year-long wait for the triumph. The streets were crowded in such a way that the bus parade was abandoned. Champions were lifted on the helicopters for the parade.
Golden Glove trolls the Golden Boot of 2022
“The advantage we have in Europe is that we play among ourselves with high-level matches all the time, such as the National League. “When we arrive at the World Cup, we are ready, whereas Brazil and Argentina do not have this level in South America. Football is not as advanced as in Europe. That’s why at the last World Cups, it’s always the Europeans who win.“, said French star Kylian Mbappe well before the start of the series.
When Emi Martinez, Argentina’s goalie was asked about the same, he agreed with the point and said it’s the case because he didn’t play there. He accepted their strength and mentioned that they have got the same respect.
Within an hour past the victory, Martinez asked for a minute of silence for Mbappe in their dressing room. Despite all the mocks, he got some time from their on-field celebrations to console heartbroken Mbappe.
Once again at the bus parade, Martinez trolled him by holding a baby toy with Mbappe’s face. He continued his trolls or mocks from the dressing room at Qatar to the streets of Argentina.

Mbappe and Martinez were the crucial M’s of the FIFA World Cup 2022 finals. On December 18, the grand ceremony took place in Qatar. Kylian Mbappe from France won the prestigious Golden Boot of 2022. Emi Martinez, Argentina’s goalkeeper was honored with the Golden Glove for the season.

The first half of the final match was in favour of Argentina as they were leading 2-0. Then later in the second half, Mbappe equalized the score. He kicked the ball behind Martinez and placed a record for a hat-trick at the World Cup finals.
When the game time was over and the score was equal, the team had to move to the tie-breaker round. Argentina had concealed all four penalty kicks but France had netted only two goals and lost the match.
Mbappe was really upset about the close call as he made all the best efforts that he could. Yet the hat trick fetched him the Golden Boot. On the other hand, Martinez was on cloud nine as he had become the hero, saving two goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Kingsley Coman.
