The Spanish magician is struggling for the game time at Real Madrid and with rumors about his departure, where can Isco find his next home?
This is not the article I expected myself to write a few months ago. Isco – the star of Spanish national side, was set to reunite with Julen Lopetegui at Real Madrid. And with Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin, the Spaniard had a chance to become the next big thing at Madrid, just like Bale and Asensio.
To the disappointment of Madrid fans, none of them have grabbed that chance so far. But it is Isco, one of the finest creative players in the world football, who has suffered the most. After being in and out of Lopetegui’s squad, Isco has found it extremely difficult to even make it to the bench under Santiago Solari. So much so that, the Spaniard is rumored to leave Real Madrid in January.
So, here are five clubs which would be perfect for Isco, if he decided to leave the Spanish capital.
5. Arsenal:
No Ramsey, No Ozil, no problem?
Arsenal might not the most fascinating destination to start with, given Isco has won three consecutive Champions League titles with Real Madrid, but it could be the perfect match for the Spaniard.
The Gunners are set to lose Aaron Ramsey at the end of this season and Mesut Ozil’s future under Unai Emery looks uncertain. Arsenal need a creative midfielder and there are a very few better options than Isco Alarcon. Under Emery, the Spaniard will be given enough space to play his natural game, which has been a problem for the midfielder at Real Madrid.
Isco is also best suited for a team with possession and passing style of football as he has proved with Spanish national team. And that is exactly what the Gunners are doing under Unai Emery. But they lack the spark and confidence while playing the ball forward against bigger clubs. Bring the Isco-Disco to the party and that problem will be solved in no time.
