Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has revealed why Mohamed Salah is not part of the club’s leadership group. Mohamed Salah is currently among the most talented players in the world.
He has been a revelation since joining the Reds from AS Roma in the summer transfer window of 2017. The Egypt international has played 283 games(in all competitions) for the Merseyside outfit so far, registering 173 goals and 69 assists.
He helped Liverpool win one Premier League title and one UEFA Champions League trophy, among other honours. Mohamed Salah currently boasts three Premier League Golden Boots in his trophy cabinet and was also named Premier League Player of the Season in 2017-18.

While speaking to the media recently, Liverpool defender Andy Robertson explained why Mohamed Salah is not in the club’s leadership group. He said(via Sportskeeda): “Maybe Mo, but Mo is the leader of his country. That’s the benefit, we have so many captains.“

“We have international captains, and Mo is one of the biggest leaders in our changing room without being in the leadership group. He helps us all. He sets standards by being one of the best players in the world.”
Andy Robertson has been a consistent performer for Liverpool since arriving from Hull City in the summer transfer window of 2017. The Scotland international has played 247 games (in all competitions) for the Merseyside outfit so far, contributing eight goals and six assists.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain linked with Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this transfer window. However, they are only willing to sign him if the Amex Stadium if Reds agree to release him on a free transfer.
The England international’s existing contract is set to expire at the end of the current season. Talks over a new deal have stalled in recent months. He is likely to leave on a Bosman deal next summer.
