Arsenal Only Club Looking to Sign Mykhailo Mudryk

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Mykhailo Mudryk. The 21-year-old attacker is currently among the most promising players in Europe.

Mudryk has progressed by leaps and bounds since breaking into Shakhtar’s senior squad during the 2018-19 season. He has played 44 games (in all competitions) for the Donetsk outfit so far, scoring 12 goals and assisting 17 more. The 21-year-old attacker helped the Cup Team win the 2019-20’s Ukrainian Premier League and Ukrainian Super Cup in 2021.

Mykhailo Mudryk won the Shakhtar Donetsk Player of the Season accolade last term. He has also established himself among as the regulars in the Ukraine squad, representing his country eight times since making his debut earlier this year.

In his daily column for CaughtOffside, he said: “At the moment, it’s Arsenal pushing for Mykhaylo Mudryk, but there’s still no advanced negotiation on the fee. Everton and Brentford wanted him in the summer, Brentford were actually the first European club to move for Mudryk many months ago, thanks to Lee Dykes who wanted him.”

Arsenal will look to challenge for the Premier League title during the second half of the season. Mikel Arteta is reportedly looking to sign a new winger to give his attacker a new dimension.

Mykhailo is direct, quick, and has the ability to beat defenders with ease during 1v1 situations. The Ukraine international has played six games in the UEFA Champions League this season, registering three goals and two assists. Shakhtar Donetsk are reportedly demanding a transfer fee of close to €100 million to sell the Ukraine international.
