In his daily column for CaughtOffside, he said: “At the moment, it’s Arsenal pushing for Mykhaylo Mudryk, but there’s still no advanced negotiation on the fee. Everton and Brentford wanted him in the summer, Brentford were actually the first European club to move for Mudryk many months ago, thanks to Lee Dykes who wanted him.”
Arsenal will look to challenge for the Premier League title during the second half of the season. Mikel Arteta is reportedly looking to sign a new winger to give his attacker a new dimension.
Mykhailo is direct, quick, and has the ability to beat defenders with ease during 1v1 situations. The Ukraine international has played six games in the UEFA Champions League this season, registering three goals and two assists. According to WhoScored, he has averaged 1.5 shots, 0.8 key passes, and 1.7 dribbles per 90 in Europe’s elite competition.
Shakhtar Donetsk are reportedly demanding a transfer fee of close to €100 million to sell the Ukraine international. It remains to be seen if the Gunners are willing to pay that sort of sum to secure his services. Apart from Mudryk, Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane has also been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
