Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has been linked with a move away from the club. The Portugal international is currently regarded as among the best defenders in the Premier League.
He joined the Cityzens from Athletic Bilbao during the January transfer window of 2018. The Spain international has played 115 Premier League games so far, registering eight goals and three assists. Aymeric Laporte has helped the Manchester outfit win four Premier League trophies, among other honours.
Update on Aymeric Laporte’s Manchester City future
According to reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Aymeric Laporte could leave Manchester City during the summer window. Several top European clubs, including Barcelona, are monitoring his situation at the Etihad Stadium.

Former Premier League player claims Harry Kane is better than Erling Haaland
Former Newcastle United midfielder Darren Ambrose has claimed that Harry Kane is a better striker than Erling Haaland. While speaking to the media, he said: “I was asked who would you take right now, Haaland, Rashford or Kane? I’m maybe being a little bit biased as a Spurs supporter.”
“But I’m still taking Kane to lead the line for me. I think in terms of a football player, he’s the best out of all three of those. Kane’s goals are incredible and his assists, his all-round play is remarkable.”
Erling Haaland has been in sensational form since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund during last summer’s transfer window. He has played 25 Premier League games this season, registering 27 goals and five assists.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane is also playing a key role for Tottenham as they push to finish in the top four. He has scored 18 goals and assisted two more in 26 Premier League games thus far.
