Barcelona are reportedly close to a swap deal with Inter Milan that would see Memphis Depay join the Italian outfit and Joaquin Correa head in the opposite direction.
Memphis Depay has been linked with a move away from FC Barcelona in the January transfer window. The Netherlands national football team attacker has fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona and has struggled for game time.
The 28-year-old has featured in just four matches for FC Barcelona so far in the 22/23 season. He missed a dozen games for Barcelona in the 22/23 season due to a thigh injury, while he was also an unused substitute in nine of the Catalan outfit’s games in the ongoing campaign.
Memphis Depay has only totaled 206 minutes of game time so far in the 22/23 season. He has scored a goal for Barcelona, which came in La Liga in their 3-0 win over Elche in September 2022.

According to Gerard Romero, Barcelona and Inter Milan are close to reaching an agreement over a swap that would involve Memphis Depay and Joaquin Correa.
However, the Spanish journalist also reports that the deal would only materialize if Memphis Depay gives go ahead to his move to the Serie A side.
It remains to be seen if Memphis Depay is interested in a move to Serie A and joining Inter Milan. Meanwhile, the Dutch attacker has also been linked with a move to FC Barcelona’s La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.
They were reports that Atletico Madrid have identified Memphis Depay as a replacement for Joao Felix, who they loaned out to Chelsea for the remainder of the 22/23 season.
Meanwhile, Joaquin Correa – the other player named in the rumoured swap deal – has featured in 21 games in all competitions for Inter Milan so far in the 22/23 season. However, only seven of those have been as a starter, with the rest being appearances off the bench.
Joaquin Correa has also scored three goals and registered three assists for Inter Milan so far in the 22/23 season. He has a contract with Inter Milan that runs until 2025. Meanwhile, Memphis Depay’s current deal with Barcelona expires at the end of the season.
