Bruno Fernandes Manchester United star has hit back at suggestions he aimed a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo with his comments after the Red Devils’ win over Manchester City in a Premier League fixture on Saturday.

The Red Devils hosted their cross-town rivals at Old Trafford in a league fixture and got the better of the defending champions, inflicting a 2-1 defeat on Manchester City.

After a goalless first half, Manchester United saw Manchester City take the lead at the hour mark. Jack Grealish, on as a substitute, headed home after Kevin de Bruyne teed up him with a cross to send Manchester City ahead in the game.

However, Manchester United clawed their way back into the game and ultimately won the match with two goals – in the 78th and 82nd minutes. Bruno Fernandes restored parity for Man Utd in the 78th minute before Marcus Rashford scored the winner in the 82nd minute.

Bruno Fernandes took to Instagram to clarify his comments were misinterpreted and that he did not aim a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo.
