Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid are now five points behind Barcelona in La Liga points table

Real Madrid now trails FC Barcelona by five points in the La Liga points table after Los Blancos failed to win the game against Real Sociedad in the Spanish top-flight.
Barcelona had moved six points clear of Real Madrid in the La Liga points table with their win over Girona. Real Madrid had the opportunity to revert the gap between Barcelona to three points when they faced Real Sociedad.
However, Real Madrid could only manage a draw as the two teams played out a goalless game. The result means Real Madrid now have 42 points from 18 matches in La Liga so far in the 22/23 season. Barcelona, meanwhile, have 47 points from 18 matches.
