Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for Dani Ceballos after the Spanish midfielder delivered an impressive performance for Real Madrid in their La Liga fixture with Real Sociedad
Real Madrid and Real Sociedad shared points after the two sides played out a goalless draw. The result of the game has seen Barcelona now enjoy a five-point lead at the top of the points table. Dani Ceballos started for Real Madrid against Real Sociedad and impressed for the defending La Liga champions.
Speaking after the match, Carlo Ancelotti said Dani Ceballos ‘showed a very high-level’ against Real Sociedad. The Real Madrid manager also admitted the 25-year-old is contributing a lot, particularly in the current situation where they are missing some of their players.
“He’s playing really well and he showed a very high-level today, just as he has in recent games. He’s contributing a lot, particularly in this period where we’re missing some guys and he was ready to step up,” Carlo Ancelotti said.

Dani Ceballos’ Real Madrid contract expires at the end of June

Dani Ceballos has been impressive for Real Madrid in their recent games. He starred after coming off the bench in Real Madrid’s 3-2 win over Villarreal in Copa del Rey when they were trailing the game by two goals. He scored a goal and registered an assist as Real Madrid pulled off a comeback win.
Carlo Ancelotti then started Dani Ceballos in their 2-0 win over Athletic Club in La Liga. He was also impressive after coming off the bench in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win over Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey quarter-final.
Dani Ceballos has entered the final six months of his current contract with Real Madrid. His current deal with the Spanish behemoths is due to expire at the end of the 22/23 season.

However, Dani Ceballos wants to stay at Real Madrid beyond the end of the 22/23 season and is hoping to earn himself a new contract at the La Liga club.
He has also reportedly turned down proposals from Premier League clubs as he eyes signing a contract extension at Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti has also indicated he would like to retain the services of Ceballos, labelling the midfielder as an ‘untouchable’.
