Carlo Ancelotti has said Real Madrid are more solid and suffer less as they cruised to a 2-0 win over Valencia in their recent La Liga fixture.
Goals from Marco Asensio and Vinicius Jr in the span of two second-half minutes propelled Real Madrid to a win over Valencia as Los Blancos earned all three points from the fixture.
After a goalless first half, Marco Asensio sent Real Madrid ahead in the 52nd minute of the match. Two minutes later, in the 54th minute, Vinicius Jr added his name to the scoresheet to give Real Madrid a two-goal cushion.
Real Madrid then comfortably saw off the game against Valencia, who were reduced to 10 men after Gabriel Paulista received a red card in the 72nd minute.

Real Madrid are more solid, and suffers less, says Carlo Ancelotti

Speaking after the match, Carlo Ancelotti said Real Madrid are now more solid and suffers less and that they work harder at the back. Carlo Ancelotti also said Real Madrid had a weaker first half but insisted they had the game under control.
However, in a blow for Real Madrid, Eder Militao and Karim Benzema suffered injuries during the match against Valencia.
Carlo Ancelotti revealed that Eder Militao’s injury is more serious than Karim Benzema’s and that the Brazilian defender will not play for Real Madrid on Sunday when they face Mallorca in La Liga.
“It was a good game. We are going through a good moment of form. The first half was weaker than the second, but that’s normal. In the second half, the opposition lowered their intensity and it suits us better. We had the game was under control,” Carlo Ancelotti said [via Real Madrid’s official website].
“The negative aspect was the injury situation. Militão’s is more serious than Karim’s, which seems lighter. Militão won’t be available on Sunday and these are things that happen at this stage of the season. The improvement comes because the team is more solid, suffers less, and works harder at the back. Those are the keys to the improvement,” Carlo Ancelotti added.
Meanwhile, the win over Valencia sees Real Madrid reduce the gap on table-toppers FC Barcelona to five points. Real Madrid have 45 points from 19 matches, while Barcelona have 50 points.
