Real Madrid comes into the game against Real Betis on the back of their 1-0 defeat to El Clasico rivals FC Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final.
Barcelona shut down Real Madrid’s attack in that game as Los Blancos failed to muster a single shot on target all match. However, Carlo Ancelotti stressed that there is no problem with Real Madrid’s attack and pointed out that they only recently scored five goals against Liverpool at Anfield.
“There is no problem with the attack, we just scored five at Anfield,” Carlo Ancelotti said. “We have scored the most goals in La Liga. Offensively, we don’t have a problem.”
Carlo Ancelotti also insisted that Real Madrid played a good game against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg, but conceded there were things that they could fix.
“I repeat what I said, we played a good game. Obviously, there are things we can fix,” the Real Madrid manager said.
Real Madrid had dropped points in their most recent La Liga fixture. They took on Atletico Madrid and shared points after playing out a 1-1 draw. That draw provided Barcelona an opportunity to go 10 points clear of Real Madrid in the race for the La Liga title. But Barcelona missed that opportunity as they slumped to a shock 1-0 defeat to Almeria the following day.
Meanwhile, the match between Real Madrid and Real Betis will kick off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time on March 6.
