Former footballer Carlos Tevez has revealed that he did not make contact with Lionel Messi after Argentina’s FIFA World Cup 2022 win. The South American nation lifted the FIFA World Cup trophy for the first time since 1986 last month.
Carlos Tevez is among Argentina’s greatest strikers of all time. He has played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe during his career, including Manchester United and Juventus. The Ciudadela-born attacker won the Premier League’s Golden Boot in 2010-11.
Tevez represented Argentina 76 times between 2004 and 2015, scoring 13 goals in the process. He won the Argentina Player of the Year accolade twice. The former attacker represented Argentina at the FIFA World Cup in 2006 and 2010.

Speaking to the media, Tevez said: “I did not write to Messi because he must have exploited the phone. It gives me great joy that my children shout his goals.”
Carlos Tevez also revealed that he doesn’t miss playing football. He said: “I don’t miss the Boca world, nor football because it exhausted me.”
Is Lionel Messi to extend his stay at PSG?
According to BBC Sports, Lionel Messi has agreed to a deal in principle to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes. The Argentina international’s current contract with the Paris outfit will expire at the end of the current season.
Inter Miami showed interest in signing him in recent months but the Messi has reportedly set his mind on staying at the Parc des Princes. The 35-year-old attacker joined PSG on a free transfer after leaving Barcelona during the summer transfer window of 2021.
He struggled during his debut season at the club, managing to score just six goals in 26 league appearances. However, he has returned to his best this term. Messi has played 13 games this season, registering seven goals and 10 assists.

When will PSG play next?
Paris Saint-Germain are currently at the top of the Ligue 1 table, with 44 points from 17 games. They will next host Angers in the league before making the trip to Brittany to play Rennes FC on January 16. Lionel Messi is expected to play a key role for PSG in both games.
