Mykhailo Mudryk: Chelsea have confirmed they are close to reaching an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk for the transfer of Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk.
Mykhailo Mudryk had also attracted transfer interest from Chelsea’s London rivals and Premier League table-toppers Arsenal, but the west London outfit appears to have hijacked the Gunners’ attempts to sign the winger.
Arsenal had been linked with a move for Mykhailo Mudryk all winter, but the Gunners never reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk over the transfer fee. They were reluctant to meet Shakhtar Dontesk’s valuation of Mykhailo Mudryk and saw bids for the highly-rated winger rejected by the Ukrainian outfit.
Chelsea have reportedly made a bid worth around €100m to Shakhtar Donetsk to sign Mykhailo Mudryk.
