USMT international and Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic has admitted ‘anything can happen’ amid rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window.

Christian Pulisic is back to training with Chelsea after his FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign with USMNT ended in the round of 16. Pulisic has struggled for games at Chelsea in the 22/23 season.

Christian Pulisic has featured in 18 games for Chelsea so far in the 22/23 season, but he has only started in five games. The rest have been appearances off the bench. He has had 607 minutes of game time at Chelsea so far in the 22/23 season.

He has so far failed to establish himself as a regular starter at Chelsea and his limited game at the west London outfit has seen him linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Christian Pulisic, who is back in training with Chelsea, has insisted he is focused and ready to finish the season. But the USMNT international also admitted anything can happen.

I mean, right now I’m absolutely back at Chelsea and focused and ready to finish the season,” Christian Pulisic told the Indirect Podcast. “But you know how things work in football. Things change quickly and anything can happen.

At the moment I am just pushing myself in training and working at Chelsea because that’s where I am right now.

Should Pulisic decide to leave Chelsea, he will likely be not short of suitors. Daily Mail has reported that Manchester United, Newcastle United and Arsenal are monitoring the situation.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic was a key player for USMNT at Qatar World Cup. Pulisic featured in all four matches USMNT played at Qatar 2022 and was impressive for his nation. He scored a goal–winner in their third Group B match against Iran – and provided two assists for USMNT at Qatar 2022. He also won the MOTM award for his performance in USA’s goalless draw with England in Group B.

However, the USA could not progress beyond the round of 16 in the latest edition of the FIFA World Cup. They took on the Netherlands in the round of 16 and the European nation inflicted a 3-1 defeat on the USA to dump them out of the competition.
