Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has admitted that they are a more balanced side without star attacker Neymar Jr.
Neymar Jr is currently out of action after suffering an ankle injury during Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-3 win over LOSC Lille in Ligue 1 in February. Christophe Galtier has already ruled the Brazilian superstar out of PSG’s crunch Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Paris Saint-Germain will take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 in their next game, but they have will have to make do it without Neymar.
PSG slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the round of 16 and will have to turn the tie around in the second leg if they want to progress to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Speaking ahead of PSG’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich, Christophe Galtier admitted that they are a more balanced side without Neymar.
However, the Paris Saint-Germain manager also admitted Neymar’s absence due to the injury is a loss for the club.
“I see there has been a debate around this. It’s a loss, clearly. Is the team more balanced? Yes,” Christophe Galtier said. “Is it better like this? I will say that having him is better to score goals.”
Meanwhile, PSG go into the game against Bayern Munich on the back of three consecutive wins. In their first game post their 1-0 defeat to Bayern in the UCL round of 16 first leg, PSG defeated LOSC Lille 4-3.
PSG followed that up by cruising to a comfortable 3-0 win over Marseille and a 4-2 defeat of Nantes in Ligue 1.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich head into the game against PSG on the back of two wins. They defeated Union Berlin and VfB Stuttgart in their two most recent fixtures.
Even in the absence of Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain have a team capable of defeating Bayern Munich. They have the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, who have been impressive for the club in the ongoing 22/23 campaign.
Both Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe were on the scoresheet in PSG’s most recent win as they got the better of Nantes in the French top-flight.
The Champions League round of 16 second leg match between PSG and Bayern Munich will kick-off at 1:30am Indian Standard Time on March 9.
