Dani Ceballos has revealed his desire to stay at Real Madrid and has vowed to give everything to earn himself a new contract at the Spanish outfit.

Dani Ceballos’ current contract with Real Madrid is due to expire at the end of the current season. That means he has less than six months left on his current deal with the Spanish behemoths.

He is already free to talk with clubs outside of Spain and can sign a pre-agreement ahead of a summer move. But the 26-year-old has expressed his desire to stay at Real Madrid beyond the end of the current season.

The midfielder was speaking to Real Madrid TV after Real Madrid secured a 2-0 win over Athletic Club in a La Liga fixture.

Real Madrid would go on to win the game 3-2, with Dani Ceballos registering an assist and bagging the winner.

His performance against Villarreal earned him a spot in the Real Madrid starting XI for the game against Athletic Club. He featured for Real Madrid until the 85th minute at which point Toni Kroos replaced him.

Speaking about starting the game for Real Madrid, Dani Ceballos said: “I had a great second half against Villarreal and I helped the team with a nice comeback. The coach then asked me to start. I have provided energy and desire and I have shown it on the pitch. I am very happy for the victory, especially in this very difficult stadium.”
