Dani Ceballos has revealed his desire to stay at Real Madrid and has vowed to give everything to earn himself a new contract at the Spanish outfit.
Dani Ceballos’ current contract with Real Madrid is due to expire at the end of the current season. That means he has less than six months left on his current deal with the Spanish behemoths.
He is already free to talk with clubs outside of Spain and can sign a pre-agreement ahead of a summer move. But the 26-year-old has expressed his desire to stay at Real Madrid beyond the end of the current season.
The midfielder was speaking to Real Madrid TV after Real Madrid secured a 2-0 win over Athletic Club in a La Liga fixture.

“There is no bigger club than Madrid. I have four months left on my contract, but I am going to give everything to show that I want to stay here. I have to grit my teeth and show that I have the level to play here,” Dani Ceballos told Real Madrid TV [via Managing Madrid].
Dani Ceballos started for Real Madrid in their win over Athletic Club after his heroics off the bench in Los Blancos’ stunning comeback win over Villarreal in the Copa del Rey.
Against Villarreal, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti brought Dani Ceballos off the bench in the 56th minute of the match, replacing Toni Kroos. Real Madrid were trailing by two goals when the substitution happened.
Real Madrid would go on to win the game 3-2, with Dani Ceballos registering an assist and bagging the winner.
His performance against Villarreal earned him a spot in the Real Madrid starting XI for the game against Athletic Club. He featured for Real Madrid until the 85th minute at which point Toni Kroos replaced him.
Speaking about starting the game for Real Madrid, Dani Ceballos said: “I had a great second half against Villarreal and I helped the team with a nice comeback. The coach then asked me to start. I have provided energy and desire and I have shown it on the pitch. I am very happy for the victory, especially in this very difficult stadium.”
Meanwhile, Real Madrid maintained pressure on Barcelona with their win over Athletic Club. Real Madrid continues to trail Barcelona by three points. Real Madrid have 41 points from 17 matches, while Barcelona have 44.
