Football News: Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, is reportedly interested in recruiting Barcelona legends Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Beckham has previously stated his ambition to lure the best stars in football to the MLS-newcomer. Blaise Matuidi, Gonzalo Higuain, Ryan Shawcross, Kieran Gibbs, and DeAndre Yedlin are among the players who have already joined the Miami team.
Beckham’s team has yet to fight for the MLS title despite earlier acquisitions. They are currently ranked 10th in the Eastern Conference, nine points behind leaders Philadelphia, and are managed by former Manchester United star Phil Neville.
Beckham wants to lure Messi and Suarez to Florida, according to GOAL. Messi, 34, still has a year left on his PSG contract, but he has struggled to recapture his best form in Paris, scoring 11 goals in 34 games.

The Argentine has already indicated an interest in playing in the MLS, and according to Spanish source Marca, he’s going to buy shares in Miami ahead of a summer 2023 transfer. He also has a Florida apartment.
“I’ve always wanted to appreciate and have the pleasure of living in the United States, to see what the league is like there, but not yet,” Messi stated in 2020.
Suarez, however, will be a free agent after his contract with Atletico Madrid expires next month. The 35-year-old is considering a move to Miami, but for the time being, he prefers to stay in Europe, with clubs in Qatar and Saudi Arabia also interested in his services.
Between 2014 and 2020, Messi and Suarez had a successful collaboration at Barcelona, winning four La Liga titles, four Spanish Cups, the Champions League, and other trophies. During that time, they combined for a whopping 478 goals.

“With Messi in Miami in a few years?” Suarez was recently asked about playing alongside Messi again. “Hopefully. We’ve worked well together both on and off the field. Nothing beats witnessing two coworkers happy outside so they can perform well inside.“
“Leo Messi is still one of the best players in the world, his skills have not lessened,” Miami co-owner Jorge Mass remarked when asked about signing Messi in February.
I feel, and David has a relationship with him, that if he leaves PSG, we would love to have Messi play for Inter Miami and be a part of our community. Is it possible? We’ll try. Can I see that happening? I’m an optimist at heart. It’s conceivable.”
Beckham also stated: “Well, guess what? We’ve got some fantastic opportunities in Miami. Many other players have approached us about joining the team.
“As any owner, you want the greatest players, and if we have the chance to bring in players like Cristiano [Ronaldo] or Leo… I like them as athletes, so if we can bring those players in, that would be fantastic.”
