Eder Militao has warned Real Madrid that their progression to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League has not been confirmed yet despite their sensational win in the first leg of the round of 16 tie.
Real Madrid pulled off a sensational comeback to defeat Liverpool in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie. After trailing the game by two goals, the defending Champions League winners scored five to romp to a 5-2 win over Liverpool at Anfield.
Real Madrid are now understandably the favourites to progress to the quarter-finals from their tie with Liverpool. The Spanish behemoths go into the second leg, which they will host at Santiago Bernabeu, with a three-goal advantage.
Unless Liverpool pulls off a sensational result in the second leg, it will be Real Madrid who secures their passage to the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club football competition.

But Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has warned his side that the tie is not over until the second leg comes to a close.
Eder Militao described the night they defeated Liverpool 5-2 at Anfield as one of the most historic in his sporting life.
The Brazilian defender also said Liverpool have a super squad and named two players in particular who could cause problems for Real Madrid.
“The night in Liverpool was one of the most historic in my sporting life – to win 5-2 there and the score is a unique moment for any footballer,” Eder Militao said.
“But Liverpool have a super squad and now we do not want to be surprised at home. Mo Salah has come into a good moment in the attack.
“He is always dangerous and against us he is hyper-motivated, and also Roberto Firmino is scoring goals again. So until the end of this match, nothing has been decided.”
Real Madrid goes into the game against Liverpool on the back of their 3-1 win over Espanyol in La Liga, where they are the defending champions but sit second in the points table.
Liverpool, meanwhile, heads into the game against Real Madrid on the back of a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth in a Premier League fixture. The match between Real Madrid and Liverpool will kick off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time on March 16.
