Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has labelled Eduardo Camavinga as one of the club’s ‘untouchables’ amid speculation of interest Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea have in the Frenchman.
A report in 90min said that Chelsea and Arsenal have made enquiries about Eduardo Camavinga to Real Madrid as they look to reinforce their midfield department. The report also added that Real Madrid want to keep the highly-rated Frenchman at the club while Eduardo Camavinga is also happy at the Spanish outfit despite his limited game time.
Amid speculation linking Eduardo Camavinga with a move away from Real Madrid, manager Carlo Ancelotti has seemingly rubbished such suggestions, insisting the midfielder is one of the club’s ‘untouchable’ players.
“The squad is untouchable,” Ancelotti told reporters. “It’s not only [Modric and Kroos], it’s the others who come onto the pitch and give everything, like [Dani] Ceballos and [Marco] Asensio did [at Villarreal].

“Modric and Kroos are untouchable, but that doesn’t mean they have to play every game. [Camavinga] is untouchable, like Modric or Kroos,” Carlo Ancelotti added.
Eduardo Camavinga has been playing for Real Madrid since the Spanish behemoths signed him from Ligue 1 side Rennes in the summer of 2021.
The 20-year-old has so far featured in 66 games for Real Madrid. He made 40 appearances for the defending La Liga champions in the 21/22 season – his first season with Real Madrid.
Eduardo Camavinga has appeared in 26 games for Real Madrid so far in the ongoing campaign. But only 11 of those have been as a starter, with the other 15 being appearances off the bench.
However, Eduardo Camavinga remains a key player for Real Madrid, as stressed by manager Carlo Ancelotti in the press conference.
Meanwhile, Camavinga started for Real Madrid and featured throughout as they pulled off a stunning comeback to defeat Villarreal in the Copa del Rey. Real Madrid clawed their way back into the game after trailing by two goals and registered a 3-2 win to secure passage to the quarter-finals of Copa del Rey.
