Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Liverpool have not reached an agreement to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch. Former defender Jose Enrique recently stated that the Reds are on the brink of signing the young midfielder.
Gravanberch is currently among the most promising midfielders in Europe. He joined the Bavarian outfit from Ajax at the start of the current season.
The Netherlands international has played 24 games (in all competitions) for Bayern thus far, registering one goal and one assist. His performances at the Allianz Arena have derived interest from big clubs across Europe.
Fabrizio Romano on Ryan Gravenberch’s links with Liverpool
Popular transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Liverpool are not close to signing Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich. He wrote in his CaughtOffside column: “I’ve had Liverpool fans asking me about Jose Enrique’s surprise comments”.
“Honestly I’m not aware of this deal. Bayern wanted to keep Ryan Gravenberch in January despite lot of interest and nothing has changed at this stage, we will see in the summer. He’s a fine player who surely has a big future, but it’s too early to say right now where his future lies.”

Midfield has been a problematic area for Jurgen Klopp this season. Almost all of the Reds’ senior midfielders have suffered injuries this term. The German manager is expected to strengthen the position before the start of the 2023-24 season.
Apart from Gravenberch, Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham has also been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months. A busy transfer window is anticipated at Anfield next summer.
Stefan Bajcetic is out for the rest of the season
Liverpool teenager Stefan Bajcetic is set to miss the rest of the season with an adductor injury. The 18-year-old midfielder has established himself among the key members of the current squad this season.
He has played 11 Premier League games for the Merseyside outfit this term, scoring one goal. The young Spaniard also won the Liverpool Player of the Month award in January.
