Manchester United midfielder Fred has backed his teammate Alejandro Garnacho to become one of the best players in the world after the Argentine youngster starred for the Old Trafford outfit in their defeat of West Ham.
Manchester United took on West Ham United in the FA Cup fifth round in their first game after their EFL Cup title win. The Red Devils came from behind to secure a victory against West Ham, and Alejandro Garnacho played a crucial role in their comeback.
Manchester United defeated West Ham 3-1 to secure their passage to the next round of the FA Cup. Said Benrahma gave West Ham United the lead in the 54th minute, and that meant Manchester United would need to pull off a comeback to progress to the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
The Old Trafford outfit restored parity through an own goal conceded by West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd in the 77th minute. Alejandro Garnacho then scored with a spectacular strike in the 90th minute to send Manchester United 2-1 up. Fred then sealed Man Utd’s victory with a goal in the 90+5th minute to make it 3-1.

Speaking to Manchester United’s official website, Fred backed Alejandro Garnacho to become one of the best players in the world. The Brazilian midfielder also said Garnacho had a good game against West Ham.
“I’m proud to be a part of this squad because everyone is ready to work, to change the game, and it was a big win today,” Fred told Manchester United’s official website after their 3-1 win over West Ham.
“We played very well after we conceded, we came back and won this game. It’s important, we need to keep going.
“Garnacho had a very good game today, a good score, and he had nice play. He’s a young player. He will be one of the best players in the world, for sure. Today, he scored and played well and he needs to keep going.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United will take on fierce rivals Liverpool in the Premier League in their next match.
That game between Man Utd and Liverpool kicks off at 10:00 pm Indian Standard Time on March 5.
