Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is currently plying his trade on loan for Serie A club Inter Milan. The Belgium international struggled with consistency and injuries after re-joining the Blues duing the summer transfer window of 2021.
He played 26 Premier League games during his second spell with Chelsea, scoring eight goals. Lukaku gave a controversial interview in January, criticizing then-manager Thomas Tuchel. The Interview soared his relationship with the German manager and he left Stamford Bridge to join Inter on loan at the start of the current season.
While speaking to Sky Sports (via Fabrizio Romano), Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta explained plans for Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku.
He said: “We know that Romelu loves Inter, he loves the club. We can feel that. He’s motivated to do great things, he’s working to be back in good form as soon as possible.”

Romelu Lukaku has struggled with injuries this season. He has managed to start just four Serie A games this term, scoring one goal. The 29-year-old striker has also endured a difficult FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign with Belgium. He played two games in Qatar, failing to register a goal or an assist.
He will look to turn the fortunes around when the season resumes after the midseason break next month. The Nerazurri will next lock horns against Napoli at San Siro in the league on January 5.
Barcelona are close to agreeing terms with Chelsea star
According to Spanish outfit SPORT, Barcelona are in advanced talks with Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The Frenchman is in the final year of his contract with the Blues and is keen to sign a preliminary contract with the Blaugrana in January. Xavi sees Kante as a potential replacement for Sergio Busquests, who is likely to leave Camp Nou at the end of the current season.
Kante is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation. He joined Chelsea from Leicester City in the summer transfer window of 2016. The Frenchman has played 262 games in all competitions for the London outfit so far, registering 13 goals and 15 assists.

He helped the Blues win one Premier League title and one UEFA Champions League trophy, among other honours. Kante won the Premier League Player of the Season 2016-17 and was also included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Season twice.
