Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson admitted everything went wrong for the Reds from the start to the end in their humiliating defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in a Premier League fixture on Saturday.
The Merseyside outfit slumped to a 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, with Jurgen Klopp’s men looking far from their best against the Seagulls. It was a deserving victory for Brighton & Hove Albion, who outclassed Liverpool.
After a goalless first half, Brighton took the lead at the start of the second half. Solly March sent Brighton ahead in the 47th minute of the game before he doubled his and his team’s tally in the 53rd minute with another goal.
Danny Welbeck then scored in the 81st minute to establish a three-goal cushion for Brighton and inflict a heavy defeat on Liverpool.

‘It’s a real low point’ – Jordan Henderson on Liverpool’s defeat to Brighton
Speaking after the match, Jordan Henderson confessed Brighton were better than Liverpool in all departments.
He also conceded that it is a ‘real low point’ for Liverpool as a team and that they have to show a reaction.
“Everything went wrong from the start to the end,” Jordan Henderson said after the defeat. “Brighton were better than us in all departments. It’s a real low point as a team. We have to stay together.”
Jordan Henderson added: “It’s a tough moment but we need to get together, stay together and try and change things quickly. We have to try and learn and show a reaction.
“There wasn’t one thing. It was numerous things and it hasn’t been right for a little while now. Everybody knows that. We know we can be better. I’ll take responsibility and the lads will. We have to try to put it right.”
The defeat to Brighton sees Liverpool slip to ninth in the Premier League points table. The Merseyside outfit have 28 points from 18 matches in the English top flight so far in the 22/23 season.
Liverpool trail Premier League table-toppers Arsenal by a staggering 16 points and the Gunners also have a game in hand. In the race for the top four, Liverpool are seven points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United.
Meanwhile, Brighton moved up to seventh with the win over Liverpool. The Seagulls have 30 points from 18 matches in the league so far this season.
