Jorge Messi, the father of Lionel Messi, has denied three reports about the Paris Saint-Germain superstar amid speculation surrounding the future of the Argentine icon.
Lionel Messi plies his trade for Paris Saint-Germain, who has been playing for since joining the French side in the summer of 2021. But Messi is due to be out of contract at the end of June 2023, and he has not yet extended his deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
Lionel Messi’s contract situation has led to speculation about his future. Major League Soccer outfit Inter Miami have been mooted as a potential destination for Messi, and their manager Phil Neville has even confirmed their interest in the Argentine.
A move to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal and his former club FC Barcelona have also been speculated on.

Jorge Messi rubbishes three reports about Lionel Messi
Jorge Messi took to social media to hit out at three stories about Lionel Messi. He denied reports that Lionel Messi left PSG training early this week after growing frustrated with Christophe Galtier’s coaching.
Jorge Messi also rubbished reports that Paris Saint-Germain are not open to accepting Lionel Messi’s conditions to sign a new contract that would extend his stay at the club. He also denied reports that Lionel Messi is asking for €600m to sign for Al-Hilal.
“How long are they going to lie??? Where are the tests??? Ahhh what is it all fake… OK!!!” Jorge Messi wrote. “For many what to put I don’t know to believe nothing… WE ARE NOT GOING TO TOLERATE MORE INVENTIONS TO GAIN FOLLOWERS.”
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has been impressive for Paris Saint-Germain in the ongoing 22/23 campaign. The Argentine superstar has racked up 18 goals and 17 assists for PSG in 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
However, Paris Saint-Germain have not been that impressive in the current campaign. They lead the race for the Ligue 1 title but have already been knocked out of both the Champions League and French Cup.
PSG exited the Champions League at the round of 16 stage after Bayern Munich knocked them out of the competition with a 3-0 aggregate win. Their elimination from French Cup came at the hands of Marseille in the round of 16.
PSG will now be aiming to defend the Ligue 1 title and they are the favourites to win it. They have a 10-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 points table.
