Arsenal have been linked with signing Chelsea midfielder Jorginho recently. The Gunners see him as an alternative to strengthen their midfield if their approach to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion fails. Chelsea could allow the Italy international to leave the club if they manage to land Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.
Jorginho is among the most talented midfielders in the Premier League. He joined Chelsea from Napoli during the summer transfer window of 2018. The Italy international has played 213 games (in all competitions) for the Blues thus far, registering 29 goals and nine assists. He helped Chelsea win one UEFA Champions League trophy, among other honours. Jorginho was part of FIFA FIFPro World11 in 2021.
Arsenal first showed interest in signing Jorginho in 2013. He was playing for Hellas Verona at that time. While speaking to the media about Arsenal’s interest in 2013, he said: “Staying here for another season would only do me good.”
“I feel at home here and there is great enthusiasm in this place. In the match against Parma there were scouts from teams like Arsenal and Chelsea. Maybe, if I continue to play well, I can see exactly what I am worth.”

The Italian is currently in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge. However, the Blues are still going to demand a significant transfer fee to sell him.
Inter Milan linked with Kieran Tierney
Serie A giants Inter Milan have been linked with signing Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney. The Scotland international has struggled with his game time since the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko last summer.
He has managed to start just four Premier League games this term. The 25-year-old defender could leave the Emirates Stadium for regular game time this window.
Kieran Tierney has played 111 games (in all competitions), registering five goals and 13 assists. He helped the North London outfit win one FA Cup and one FA Community Shield.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will look to sign Real Valladolid’s Ivan Fresneda if Tierney leaves this month. The 18-year-old has established himself among the most promising full-back in La Liga this season. He has played 10 league games so far this term.

Arsenal are currently at the top of the Premier League table, with 50 points from 19 games. They will look to lift the league title this term. The Gunners will next lock horns against Everton in a league game at Goodison Park on February 4.
